Well, seems big MS is not ready to roll over and play dead in the certification market. With all the talk about the watered down quality of the MCSE, M$ has come out with a plan. I applaud the move :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
Take a look ... This is bound to be good for the Microsoft Evangelists.

Oh come on.....
The Microsoft Certified Architect candidate is expected to have at least 10 years of verifiable experience as a practicing architect prior to applying for the program
Roda, this is a bit much don't you think?

....No if we will If we finally get rid of them piggy backing paper certified folks :) I applaud MS for the bold step..there has to be a higher bar....

I think that this "bar" is rather unreasonable and doesn't say much about your performance.
In any case employers or Microsoft certified individuals will still gravitate towards premeir certifications like MCSE, MCDBA blaa blaa blaa...
What is to be noted is that there are only a few "Paper" MCSE 2003. As such I think employers will still opt for the other mcse's especially with the new upgrading of the examination process.

Nas.. i dont agree with you.. MS needs a certfication like this.. I want you to go back and read it carefully, Man i really applaud MS for this. The amount of MCSE's out there it islike a joke to say you are a MCSE. I know the the 2003 exams are not easy. I studying from long time an still fearful of taking them. However, the focus on the cert includes project managment, undestanding the business case etc etc....Put it this way. Alot of us with MCSE say ok now i am a MCSE now what? I particularly like the fact that you have to sit and answer questions infornt of a panel.. means you haffi be at the top of your game.. not swatting thing.

Roda, I am referring to the 10 year requirement. This will be a turn off to many, but hey I agree to disagree with you.

True that would turn off most people, personally I wouldn't mind getting it but look at it Im going to have to wait ten years and hopefully I will get approval to take the cource :eusa_snoo .
Well I'm guessing this is the highest cert you can get from MS now...so the requiremetns are high...look at the requirements for CISSP...take about turn off...I mean the experience time is less ...3yrs I belive but look at the cource material...i guess in the end regardless of the requirements it would be well worth it to have this cert.
