Ok so guys the other day everytime my machine started up after being turned off for a while my 40gb wd hd says Disk Read Error Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart. When I hit the reset button it boots a ok.

Now I pulled my system apart and put it back together and it is not booting without problems. Someone mentioned that my hd might be going do you guys think that's the case. That does not bother me as I have backup drives for data it's just mi operating system that's on that drive.

big man, simple question... is there anything on that drive you need? or is jus the operating system... Note: not Partition, Drive!!! if no, or just OS... roll on playa.. but if you have anything worth saving?
well, decide if its worth the money of getting a drive immediately, or if you would rather buy a new drive and start over from scratch.

btw... back up your data. now.

he did say he pulled his system apart and put it back together, so I doubt the connections are slack
