Internet connection with cellphone

Is there any possibility that the internet be accessed on my Laptop with a cellphone (T720i) without using GPRS, which is very expensive through C&W.

hahahaha, hmm 25c per kb, or 10 bux per minute. sure u can use a laptop to dial a number thru ur cell phone, but are u sure the cost is justified?

You would have to dial an ISP regular dialup number whether via cable/infra-red/bluetooth from laptop to phone and the regular call charges will apply.

Yea I am sure they still have it in the new kgn area, drive around with u laptop and see. I think they have it also in jamrock for free, not sure.

yeh i heard about jamrock, and i think u have it in hilton, not sure about newhere else. maybe i do some warchalkin later and report.

but basically to make the call, connect the phone via infrared or cable, and run the network wizard that come with xp. after uve setup the connection u shud be able to juss dial out, and voila

I have established a new connection using me cellphone modem, dial my ISP via cable to my laptop, the ISP number appears dialing on the cellphone screen, then unable to connect to the remote computer
