ok i'm applying for the adsl modem line i'm gonna get the modem through c&w but the speed touch pro is for $16371.11 .
what i'm asking is would you recommend the(speed touch home) for the office .

Well you can get the home and Hack the firmware to a Pro. but be advised that this voids all warranty on the product and support. I have done it to my modem at home, runs great.Check out theses sites on doing it. You can get the upgrades there as well.

I too have successfully hacked the Home to Pro..but my connection is PPPoE not PPPoA..so I haven't been successfull in having an always on connection. I went to a specific forum for hacking it, seems that everyone with PPPoA was getting it to work ( the always on connection).

I now have a new modem, hacked that, re-flashed the ISP firmware which was crap..now It has a tonne of features.

I do think I will be buying the Alcatel Speedtouch 510 though.

I got my pro from Commnett for cheaper than what C&W was charging me to buy it.

You might want to check them for the speedtouch first before signing anything with C&W.
