Cable & Wireless has developed a CD that the company says teaches customers of its high speed Internet service how to get online quickly and hassle-free from either their home or office computer.
In a press statement yesterday, C&W said that several user-friendly tools were incorporated on the special CD, which included the modem the company provided for its new high-speed Internet customers. To setup the service on their machines, users are required to insert the Cable & Wireless Online CD in their PCs or laptops, then follow what the company describes as the "easy-to-read interactive instructions provided". "The programme automatically configures the user's machine for high-speed Internet access," said C&W. C&W has been reducing the cost of its high-speed Internet service as part of a strategy by the company to develop its broadband revenue stream.
The also company has in place a promotion that ends on September 17, during which time customers can save up to US$49.99 on the setting up of their high-speed Internet connection.
"By providing these self-help tools, we are ensuring our customers get online quickly and enjoy their online experience with as few hitches as possible," said Magnus Johansson, vice president of broadband services. http://www.jamaicaobserver.com/magazines/Business/html/20050816T220000-0500_86301_OBS_C_W_DEVELOPS_FREE_CD_FOR_INTERNET_CONNECTION.asp |
