JaJabber, an International consortium based in Jamaica, today announced the rollout of residential and business Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone service, called Caribbean Net Talk, to consumers throughout Jamaica, this will provide a high-tech alternative for their personal and business communications needs.  They commence business on Monday 18th July, 2005.

Caribbean Net Talk marks the beginning of an exciting new era in voice communications that gives customers unrivalled value for International calls.  Their launch offer is unlimited calls to the USA, Canada and the UK from as little as US$24.95 per month.  The installation and equipment which generally costs US$200 is offered free of charge by Caribbean Net Talk.  Customers are also offered the option of a US number so that friends, family or business associates can call them for the price of a local/ national call.

The company plans to support the marketing of Caribbean Net Talk with an extensive communications campaign that will include advertising through direct mail, telemarketing and online advertising.

Caribbean Net Talk requires that customers have a high-speed Internet connection to the home or business.  While a growing number of households and business have access to these broadband connections through their local cable or Telephone Company, Broadband penetration in the Jamaica is about 10 percent of the Internet users and is expected to reach 50% percent by 2006.

Caribbean Net Talk's system is installed into your home or office free of charge.  The analog terminal adapter, which is required for the service to work, can be used from almost any location where there is a telephone and a broadband connection.

Caribbean Net Talk is very confident that users will quickly recognize the value and versatility of our service, so they have packaged their products with the Jamaican customer in mind, giving them the ability to make and receive unlimited calls to friends, family and business associates throughout the U.S., Canada and United Kingdom for one flat monthly rate.

In addition to highly competitive rates, Caribbean Net Talk will offer a number of advanced pricing and service features.  These include:
