Effective March 16 until April 2, every call from a Digicel to a Digicel phone will be $1 per minute, if the call is placed between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 5:59 a.m.

Both Digicel pre-paid (digiFLEX) and post-paid (digiSELECT) customers will benefit from this low rate.

Each text message sent between March 16 and April 2 will cost only $1.00. This rate will only be applicable to all local text messages sent person to person.

"It's $1 per minute for your night-time calls and, with Digicel, what you see is what you get.  There are no caps for minutes and no hidden costs," said Harry Smith, commercial director for Digicel.

AFFORDABLE SERVICE

Pointing out that Digicel has always been transparent, simple and honest with the public, Mr. Smith continued, "When Digicel launched its service nearly four years ago, our objective was to deliver a mobile telecoms service that could be afforded by all Jamaicans."

The company's commercial director outlines that Digicel is continuing to make life as affordable as possible for the public, "so we have brought you the lowest rates in calls and text messages.  We believe in simple tariffs, and simple messages."

Digicel, which began operations in Jamaica in 2001, now provides telecommunications services to eight countries in the Caribbean.
