Internet service provider N5 Systems Limited yesterday said its web-browsing and e-mail services are back up after both systems went down for several days more than a week ago.
According to company representative Akron Solomon, the web-browsing service was corrected on Tuesday and its e-mail service on Wednesday night. "The services have been corrected," he said.
Several of the company's customers had complained to the Observer that their service was down and calls to the offices of N5 Systems went unanswered. Solomon said the company's internal telephone system was also down. In the meanwhile, the Office of Utilities Regulation said it received at least one 'informal' complaint about the company's service.
"It was an informal complaint earlier this week from someone who was concerned about the provision of service," the OUR's communication manager David Geddes told the Observer yesterday.
He said the call was treated as informal as the caller lodged the complaint with a general staff member, and not a member of the OUR's Consumer Relation Unit.
