Cable & Wireless Jamaica's first wireless exposition, C&W Unwired takes place December 1-2, 2004 on the grounds of the company's Corporate Office at 2-6 Carlton Crescent, Kingston 10. The exposition will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. each day. Admission is free but attendees are being required to register online at unwired.cwjamaica.com in order to take advantage of several exciting offers to be made available exclusively at the event.
C&W Unwired will feature a number of very exciting interactive wireless/mobile/data demonstrations and presentations, many of which will be on display for the first time in Jamaica. The line-up includes:
- A WI-FI Hot Zone for laptop/handheld access device users;
- Wireless Internet;
- Mobile " Instant Messaging " Text to Phone (SMS to Land line)
- Text to Screen
- Mcommerce (Mobile Marketing)
- Internet on the go using the Blackberry hand-held device;
- Video conferencing
- Live Web Streaming of event and Presentation
- IP Business Systems
There are 14 seminars and presentations to be made by experts from Nortel Networks, CISCO and Research In Motion (RIM) among other leading vendors. These will address trends in securing Wireless Networks and preparing networks to go wireless. Participants will also be able to follow live presentations online.
