A Bahamian telecoms company has set its sight on Jamaica as it seeks to expand its business in the Caribbean.
Cable Bahamas Limited has applied to the Office of Utilities Regulation for a license to extend its current submarine fiber optic network to Jamaica.
The company has already established a subsidiary in the island, Fiber Link Jamaica, and is seeking to take advantage of the Government's decision to auction a license to build and operate a fiber optic cable between the island and the rest of the world.
