The Cable & Wireless Jamaica Foundation (CWJF) has launched a “cyberMan” Mascot Competition for youngsters, aimed at developing a mascot that creates a readily identifiable visual connection to the Foundation.
The competition is open to children aged 9 – 15 years, and is a great summer fun activity in which parents and caregivers should encourage their youngsters to participate. There are great prizes to be won, including a desktop computer and printer; $15,000 in textbooks and back-to-school supplies from Kingston Bookshop; and C&W activated Nokia NGage game consoles with game cartridges.
The design of the mascot should demonstrate creativity and be effective in communicating the C&WJ Foundation’s objectives to: promote literacy; encourage the use of computers and the Internet; and develop positive attitudes among the youth.
The competition closes on August 13, 2004, and entries may be submitted by post or hand delivered to CyberMan Competition, Cable & Wireless Jamaica Foundation, 2-6 Carlton Crescent, Kingston. 10.
Further details on the competition and the Cable & Wireless Foundation are posted on the Foundation’s website: www.cwjfoundation.cwjamaica.com. Brochures on the Foundation are available from any C&W Business Office, islandwide. |
