A JAMAICAN hotelier living and working in Canada, has embarked on another venture to expand the range of services offered by his group of companies, the Dezano Group. The latest venture, Dezano Wireless, supplies wireless products for residential use in Canada and will be available for the Jamaican market in January 2004.

'We want to supply products and services that will facilitate the evolving needs of our customers especially in regards to saving time," said Lyn, CEO and chairman of the Dezano Group.

"If you look around your home there's a remote for the TV, a remote for the VCR, a remote for the garage door and the list goes on - they are very handy when people are too busy or too tired to walk that extra step to turn an electronic device on or off," said Lyn. Dezano Wireless' indoor wireless remote control power switch can be programmed to control numerous electronic devices, indoors and outdoors at the push of a button.

Lyn recommends this product for the holiday season particularly for Christmas trees. Other products in the line include security observation systems and remote controlled motion sensors wireless alarms "Which are ideal for persons who would rather monitor their homes on their own instead of incurring the monthly fees charged by a security company," said Lyn. With projected sales from the Jamaican market expected at around J$5 million, Lyn plans to set up a location in Jamaica by early 2004. Until then Jamaican customers will be able to order the products via the Internet. Dezano Wireless will also provide a C.O.D. (cash on delivery) service for customers who would rather not to use their credit cards on-line.
