LIME's hosted email improves communication - JCF director PDF Print E-mail

Two years ago, Angela Patterson was unable to access her Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) emails on her smartphone. Today, as she manages the social services of the entire organisation and stays abreast of operations in each parish, she is able to check her emails and stay in touch with the members of the JCF on her mobile, just by sitting in her office on the third floor of the south tower at the Ministry of National Security.

Patterson, who is the director of corporate and special services at JCF, shared her delight in LIME's favourable contribution to the development of the entity, as it eliminated particular issues that were highly problematic.

"We were looking for a solution because we had an email system that wasn't reliable; even to the point that people were using their personal email to conduct official business. We wanted something robust, because we had our officers spread right across the country and when we did our research we realised that finding someone to fix this issue, instead of procuring funds to fix it ourselves, was the cheaper choice," Patterson stated.

As the protective arm of the country, the JCF places both internal and external security at the forefront of its priorities.

As key advisor and provider of technology solutions for the Jamaican Government, LIME is an excellent source for innovation and ultramodern technology that can drive the success of any entity while providing protection.

Norman Naar, LIME's head of government and enterprise sales, asserts that the telecoms company is able to provide services that are beneficial to government agencies.

"Our role is largely to help the government reduce its operating expenditure and to operate more efficiently and effectively in serving its various stakeholders. In so doing, we provide fit-for-purpose information and communication technology (ICT) solutions to aid the Government in meeting these objectives," said Naar.
