The Office of Utilities Regulation, OUR, says it will be taking steps to determine if it can further protect Claro customers following on the announcement by Digicel that it will be terminating the Claro network in less than two months.
The OUR says, yesterday Digicel advised of its intention to shut down the Claro network effective March 1.
According to the OUR, Digicel also reported Digicel all Claro plans and promotions will be terminated and it has put measures in place to effect the transition of customers who wish to migrate to its core network.
But the OUR says it is concerned about the level of protection to customers in light of the planned closure of the Claro network. article link |
