Some time after midnight last night, thieves removed several critical pieces of the transmission equipment serving sections of the eastern part of the North Coast which has resulted in LIME’s landline, mobile and data services customers in the area experiencing disruptions in their service.
Investigations by LIME’s technical team have revealed that at least 70 cell sites, 25 Outside Plant Modules, which are used for landline service and 30 DSLAMs (Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexers) which are used for internet service, have been affected by the vandalism.
LIME’s engineers are working to have service restored in the shortest possible time.
