C&W offers new bundled calling plans PDF Print E-mail

Cable & Wireless Jamaica’s (C&WJ) bmobile has become the first mobile provider to roll out authentic pre-paid & post-paid “bundles” in the local market, offering consumers a combination of local and international calling time and text messaging for one low monthly rate.

C&WJ yesterday unveiled its prepaid “SupaPak” and postpaid “UltraPak” calling plans which allow subscribers to pay a single charge each month and get a bundle of minutes to call bmobile, C&WJ fixed lines, other local mobile operators, mobile and fixed line numbers in the USA and Canada and fixed lines in the UK.  Customers will also get between 40 and 1000 text messages to local and international numbers depending on the “Pak” they choose.

The offering includes five postpaid and four prepaid packages which allow consumers to choose the plan with the price and features that best suit their lifestyle and budget.   Depending on the package selected saving range from $2,400 to over $10,000 a month.

On any of the plans, subscribers will enjoy significant savings, C&WJ’s Chief Commercial Officer, Mariano Doble says.

“These plans offer massive savings when you compare them to the rates being charged by our competitors,” he explained.  “When you break down the charges, a customers on a “SupaPak” or “UltraPak” plan can end up paying as little as $30 a day for local and international calls plus text messages.”

Mr. Doble anticipates that bmobile’s superior value proposition will go down well with existing and prospective customers in the current economic climate where consumers are looking for better value for their money.

“We’re actually offering more for less,” he explains.  “These new plans all boil down to more talk time and text messaging for less money.  So, especially in this challenging economic environment when everyone is looking to keep a check on their expenses, with bmobile, they can actually spend less and get a lot more.”

Existing bmobile customers can sign up for any of the “SupaPak” or “UltraPak” plans via text message or through C&WJ’s Customer Care Centre by dialing 100 from a bmobile phone or 1-888-225-5295 from a fixed line.  New customers can get on the plans by visiting any Cable & Wireless Lifestyle Store or dealer location islandwide.
