Cable and Wireless customers could be paying more for land line calls by March.
This possible increase has been linked to attempts by the company to recover lost revenue resulting from a decision by the Office of Utilities Regulation, OUR, to vary the price cap arrangement for the company's line rental and installation rates.
Speaking with journalists Tuesday afternoon, Director General at OUR, J. Paul Morgan said the decision was made two weeks ago.
He said it had been delayed owing to court action brought by mobile provider Digicel to prevent the imposition of an access deficit charge.
According to Mr. Morgan, Cable and Wireless has since submitted an application for increased rates which is being considered by the OUR.
