Jinny Software, a leading supplier of personalised messaging and media processing platforms to mobile network operators, today announced it has won deals to provide its messaging platforms to leading international telecoms provider Cable & Wireless' 14 businesses in the Americas & Caribbean.
Jinny Software clinched two deals - one for the Caribbean and one for Panama -- through close collaboration with telecoms supplier Ericsson, by offering competitively priced, feature-rich solutions combined with delivery of bespoke development and rapid deployment timeframes. The agreement for Panama includes provision of an SMSC, a Real-Time Charging Gateway with Diameter prepaid interface and a Message Router. Technology support for GSM and TDMA, project management, and training are also included. The deal signed for the Caribbean includes a fully redundant SMSC platform, and meets Cable & Wireless's diverse requirements such as real-time charging of pre-paid subscribers, content management, and detailed reporting for each of the 13 business units covered by the solution. These contracts further develop Jinny's presence in the region. They are evidence of the growing and dynamic Jinny/Ericsson business relationship servicing Central America and the Caribbean. This partnership has already successfully delivered messaging solutions to a number of operators across the Caribbean and Latin America. The winning solution offers a single messaging platform that supports all key technologies in use across the region, including GSM, CDMA, TDMA and iDEN. In a further commitment to the Latin American and Caribbean market, Jinny has expanded its sales and support presence in the region through its parent company, the Acotel Group, by hiring a team based at the Group's existing offices in Brazil. "The Jinny/Ericsson partnership won our business because of their aggressive commercial proposition as a leading provider of personal messaging and media processing solutions," said Chris Hetherington, chief executive officer, Cable & Wireless Americas & Caribbean. "This implementation will ensure rapid delivery and reliability for our multimedia products. Messaging is increasingly popular amongst our customers, and is a key area of innovation and growth for Cable & Wireless across the region." "Partnering with Jinny to secure this deal has been extremely effective and Ericsson looks forward to a growing and fruitful business relationship, which will hopefully result in more wins in the future." Said Helene Tosterud Ujueta, General Manager, Ericsson de Panama." Commenting on the win and the company's commitment to the region, Fintan Supple, Americas Sales Manager, Jinny Software, said, "Our recent win in the Caribbean and Panama is a crucial step in our overall strategy for Central and Latin America, a key region in our future growth plans. Our progress in the region in the past two years has been steady and I am delighted that we now have a team on the ground to not only look after our existing customers in Central/Latin America and the Caribbean, but also to continue to build our profile in the region." |
