The computers were donated by returning guests to Sandals Montego Bay Jean and Frank Wagner.  The Wagners have been making similar donations to the island's education institutions over the past four years.

They previously donated computers to schools in St Mary as well as to the Farm Primary and Junior High School, and the Flankers Primary and Junior High School, also in St James.

"I work for a company, which changes computers on a regular basis and through the kind co-operation of Air Jamaica, the Jamaican Customs Department and Sandals Montego Bay, I have been able to take these computers here to present to schools," Frank Wagner said during Wednesday's presentation ceremony.

School principal Yvonne Miller-Wisdom could not contain her joy on receiving the computers.  She said the school's information technology programme was now ready to take- off since the students now have new additions to their equipment.

She added that the school community was grateful and pledged to do "everything" to maintain the machines.  Success Primary is one of four new schools that the government opened last year under its $3.5-billion school building project, which involved the construction of 17 new schools in western Jamaica.  The school has just over 700 students enrolled and a teaching staff of 20.
