FOR JAMAICA, the dawn of the Internet has undoubtedly broken, and so many individuals and companies now utilize its power to find and disseminate information. This is however akin to a baby taking its first exploratory steps, and the true value and power of the Internet and how it will really affect the lives of Jamaicans has not yet been realized. So what should we hope is in store for Jamaica and the Internet? |

It has been at least three months since the official “switch on” of Cable & Wireless’ GSM network July of this year. We will be examining the products and services that are being offered as if it were a new customer. The writer was last a C&WJ mobile customer some 3 years ago before switching mobile carriers to another GSM service, so this observation can be used as if it were that of a new customer. |
