Gotel says demand for its telephone service high PDF Print E-mail

Gotel Communications, the telephone company that will soon begin land-based service in Jamaica, says that its nearly 100 transmission towers across the island gives it the capacity for island-wide coverage, and to reach areas not now covered by land-line service. "With the technology we are utilising, Gotel will be able to offer telephone service to virtually every location on the island, including hilly or otherwise challenging terrain," says Constantine Burrell, the company's marketing manager.

A pilot project through which Jamaican students will be able to learn courses via the Internet, was launched Monday by a North American company -- Click A Tutor Inc -- at the Tivoli Gardens Comprehensive High School in Kingston.
